It is Hard to Fail…Unless You’re the Abortion Industry

Recently, a statement I made on Facebook was openly challenged. Or, rather, a statement I reposted from Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, who, at a youth conference in California, stated: “We’re on the verge of the total annihilation of the abortion cartel.”

Now, I will admit, that is a very strong statement, and I can see why someone would want to question it. Total annihilation is pretty intense, as was the brief online conversation that it sparked. In the end, I think we agreed to disagree, but not before quickly scratching at what I took to be a very important question: As someone who does pro-life work for a career, do I live in a bubble? Meaning, do I only believe that there could be a true end to the abortion industry in this nation simply because I eat, sleep and breathe pro-life?

The question kind of gnawed away at me. So much so, that, after a few days, I decided I was going to need an answer. Is the abortion industry going down because my bias believes it, or, because the facts reveal it? To answer, I simply decided to take a quick look – a snapshot, if you will – at the month of March. About thirty minutes in, it became very apparent to me that I actually don’t live in a bubble, and that the abortion industry, even by its own admission, is not thriving.

BREAKING: Diane Derzis’ Georgia Clinic Losing Ground Fast

derzisColumbus, GA. — Diane Derzis, owner of the run-down abortion facility, Columbus Women’s Health Organization, is losing ground fast in Georgia, including the recent resignation of one of her main abortionists.

Theresa Spenney, President of Chattahoochee Valley United for Life (CVUL), announced at a Wednesday press conference that her organization received confirmation of the abortionist’s resignation after making his central OB/GYN practice, one of the largest in the state, aware of his side job within the abortion industry.

CVUL has maintained a dedicated prayerful sidewalk presence at Columbus Women’s Health for several years.  During that time, they have also collected alarming amounts of photo evidence and patient testimonies which reflect a terrible state of affairs within the facility.

JULY 2014: A Special Invite from the Patriarch

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

In 1993, the Charismatic Episcopal Church held its first Convocation in Kansas City.  I was at that event.  At the time, the CEC had four Bishops and maybe fifty priests and deacons.  There were perhaps 200 people total at the Convocation.  In a short period of time, just twenty-two years, there are now 59 Bishops, thousands of priests and deacons, and churches in 26 countries.  And, the Lord God keeps adding to our numbers.

We are returning to our roots first and foremost to give glory to God for what He has done.  We are returning to our roots to re-establish the call upon the Charismatic Episcopal Church to baptize the nations and make disciples.

#thegenerationthatWILL

Talk to anyone who went to the March for Life this year, and they will all tell you the same thing: “It was cold” is a gross understatement. It was freezing. Below freezing. The morning of the March, the wind was actually cold enough to warrant a frostbite warning from the weather service.

Nonetheless, at 11:15 AM, with about fifty youth and a dedicated group of clergy and chaperones, CEC For Life began the subzero trek from our hotel on Capitol Hill to the Supreme Court steps for our annual Liturgy for the Preborn at the Time of Death, led by Fr. Terry Gensemer.

Huddled together before the building wherein nine Supreme Court justices stripped away the rights of the preborn, we joined in song and prayer for those who have died in the abortion holocaust, beseeching God to care for the preborn in death and to put an end to the horrific violence that is abortion.
