CEC For Life in Brazil

I have just finished with one of the most amazing times that I can remember in ministry. I have spent the last two weeks in the area of Recife, Brazil promoting the culture of life to groups of ministers, churches and seminary students. It was an honor to accompany Patriarch Crag Bates, Bishop Michael Davidson, Archbishop Chuck Jones, Fr. Jim and Kris House and Deacon John Garret on this trip. The reception has been phenomenal and many lives have been touched by the message and people have been encouraged to build a culture of life in Brazil. The young people and their leaders are looking forward to promoting and participating in Pro-life activities. The pastors are ready to equip their parishes to be a voice for those who have no voice. The nation of Brazil is on the verge of revival as many people are returning to Christ. God help the United States to experience the same type of awakening.

March for Life Washington 2011 Recap

This past weekend CEC For Life attended the 2011 March For Life in Washington D.C.. Fr. Terry Gensemer and I actually went up to Bel Air, MD a couple days before to take part in a youth rally put on by Fr. Rob Northwood. The rally was attended not only by youth from the Northeast diocese, but also by the group that drove up with Jamie and Arsella Tellier all the way from Selma, AL. We enjoyed fellowship, food, and worship on Saturday, and then were able to take the Eucharist together that Sunday.

After church, and a quick and gracious lunch from the parish, the youth leaders gathered their young folk and we all headed to D.C. to check in with our hotels and get ready for the Annual CEC For Life Youth Rally.

Partial-Birth Abortion Inventor Moves Clinic Next to Pediatricians Office

A group of Ohio pediatricians don’t care for their new neighbor ”” late abortion practitioner Martin Haskell, who invented the grisly partial-birth abortion procedure Congress banned.

Haskell has closed his Cincinnati, Ohio abortion business and reopened in the community of Sharonville, about twelve miles to the north.

The new facility is located next door to Liberty Sharonville Pediatrics and parents will now have to enter a common driveway and pass by Haskell’s surgical abortion business to get to the pediatricians’ office.

Dr. Steve Brinn, M.D., was so upset that he wrote a letter to the editor that appeared in the Cincinnati Inquirer on Saturday expressing his opposition to the abortion business.

“Imagine our shock and disbelief, when we learned that an abortion clinic was opening in the building 50-feet from our front door. Why would a clinic performing abortions be so insensitive to a group practice treating children for 31 years?” he wrote.
